Sound familiar?

Your Knee Has Been Calling The Shots

If you recognize yourself in this list, the problem usually isn’t just a weak muscle — the joint itself is under too much compression, and the tissue inside never gets a break.

  • Deep, aching knee pain that gets worse going up or down stairs
  • Stiffness and grinding when you first stand after sitting
  • You've been told your knee is “bone-on-bone” or arthritic
  • Cortisone or gel injections help for a while, then wear off
  • Swelling or soreness the day after you're active
  • Kneeling, squatting or getting in and out of the car is a struggle
  • You've been told a knee replacement is the next step

Why it keeps coming back

Nothing You’ve Tried Has Taken Pressure Off The Joint

Cartilage has almost no blood supply of its own. It depends on movement and changes in pressure to draw in the fluid and nutrients it needs — and a compressed knee never gets that chance.

Medication

Turns the pain signal down for a few hours. The joint is still compressed when it wears off.

Rest, ice and braces

Feel better short-term, but they don't unload the joint — and the muscles around the knee get weaker.

Cortisone & gel injections

Quiet the inflammation temporarily. They don't change the mechanics that keep irritating the joint.

General stretching & exercise

Strength matters, but without true decompression the joint surfaces never get space to recover.

Unload the joint, take the pressure off the cartilage, and your body finally gets the conditions it needs to heal.

The approach

What Is Knee-on-Trac?

You sit back comfortably, fully clothed, while a padded cuff is secured around your leg. The system applies a precise, gently cycling pull that separates the knee joint by a few millimeters. That small amount of space lowers pressure inside the joint — helping fluid, oxygen and nutrients move back in so the tissue has what it needs to recover.

It’s hands-free, drug-free and takes about 10–20 minutes. Most patients relax or scroll their phone through the whole session.

Relieves joint compression

Gentle traction creates space between the joint surfaces so they stop grinding against each other.

Feeds the cartilage

Cycling negative pressure helps draw fluid, oxygen and nutrients back into the joint.

Improves mobility

More room in the joint means smoother, less painful bending, walking and stair climbing.

Why it works

Built For Stubborn, Chronic Knee Pain

Targets the knee itself

Traction is applied at the angle and force your exam calls for — not a generic leg stretch.

Non-surgical & drug-free

No prescriptions, no injections, no incisions. A conservative option many patients try long before considering replacement.

Comfortable, 10–20 minutes

You stay fully clothed and relaxed. No downtime — you drive yourself home afterward.

Creates room to heal

Lower pressure inside the joint draws water and nutrients back in so irritated tissue can calm down.

The difference

Life With The Pressure — And Life Without It

Knee pain doesn’t just hurt; it quietly reshapes how you sit, sleep, work and move. Here’s the honest contrast between managing it and actually unloading the joint.

Living with it

  • Planning your day around how the knee feels
  • Skipping walks, golf, the garden or the stairs
  • Another injection on the calendar every few months
  • Wondering how long until you need a replacement

After decompression

  • Getting up from a chair without bracing yourself
  • Walking the neighborhood again without paying for it later
  • Sleeping through the night without knee ache
  • A plan that addresses the joint, not just the pain signal

Alongside decompression

Care That Supports Your Results

Everything your knee needs is in one office — Knee-on-Trac decompression, specific chiropractic care, soft tissue work and rehab. No referrals across town, no piecing your care together from four different offices.

Chiropractic adjustments

Restore alignment through the hips, pelvis and spine so the knee stops absorbing uneven load.

Soft tissue therapy

Release the tight quads, hamstrings and calves that keep compressing the joint.

Rehab & strengthening

Targeted exercise so the muscles around the knee support the progress you make on the table.

Posture & gait work

Correct the movement patterns that put the joint under strain every step of the day.

Our approach

How We Take The Pressure Off Your Knee

  1. 01

    Consultation & full knee exam

We listen to your history, then run a complete orthopedic and functional exam of the knee, hip and ankle to see what's actually driving your pain.

  2. 02

    Imaging when it's needed

If your exam calls for it, imaging shows us joint spacing, alignment and degeneration behind your symptoms.

  3. 03

    Report of findings

A clear, plain-English explanation of what's happening in the joint, whether you're a candidate for Knee-on-Trac, and what it will take.

  4. 04

    Your Knee-on-Trac sessions

You relax while the system applies a precise, cycling pull that gently separates the joint and unloads the cartilage.

  5. 05

    Stabilize and keep it gone

Specific adjustments plus strength and mobility work so the knee holds its progress instead of collapsing back under load.

Dr. Greg Prybylski, D.C., chiropractor at Paramount Family Chiropractic in Westlake, Ohio

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Dr. Greg has always had a passion for health and sports of all kinds. He played college hockey at Buffalo State College, earning a Bachelor’s in Health and Wellness with a minor in Biology, then went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, where he graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2010.

After months of consistent adjustments in school, he no longer needed the inhaler he’d used for asthma since age 10 — firsthand proof that healing comes from within, not from a drug or a surgery. Since graduating he has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in pediatrics, pregnancy, sports, and wellness.

That same root-cause approach is exactly why Knee-on-Trac is part of the practice. Instead of chasing knee symptoms with medication or repeat injections, Dr. Greg looks at how the joint is loaded, whether decompression is a fit, and what it will take to keep the results.
